 Recipes - Panna Cotta
Make ahead note:
This dessert should be made at least four hours before serving. It can easily be made the day ahead and refrigerated.
Ingredients:
- 1 package unflavored gelatin
- 1 cup milk
- 2 cups heavy cream
- ¼ cup sugar
- 1 Tbl lemon zest
- 1 cup mascarpone cheese
- 1 tea vanilla extract
Place the milk and cream in a bowl. Add the gelatin and stir just to dissolve. Set aside.
Place the sugar and lemon zest in a saucepan. Heat just until the sugar melts. Stir in the gelatin mixture and cool slightly. Add the mascarpone and vanilla and whisk until well combined. Pour into individual ramekins or an au gratin dish. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate at least four hours.
To unmold the ramekins, place in a pan of warm water and allow to sit for five minutes. Invert onto a serving plate and remove the ramekin.
